Hey! This is Eva Chau from Hong Kong and I am so glad I get to be the first to post about the outing!
As you can see from the pictures that were posted earlier, it was a pretty nice day. We had a really big group that included students from Austria, Switzerland, China, Japan, Ireland, France, Korea, and also America! Isn't that AWESOME? It was a huge group for hiking but we really enjoyed it.
I still remember how I was stunned as I looked down from the rock at Zion. It was such an amazing place and it looked more like a landscape painting to me than an actual scene (cause we have nothing like this in Hong Kong!). Some students told me it is a really memorable experience seeing such a great scene with people from all over the world. Yes, I think you don't have many chances in your life to be with a bunch of foreigners from about 8 different countries.
We stayed on the rock for about half an hour and took a lot of pictures. There were a few little squirrels running around while we were taking pictures. It was funny that everyone thought they were lizards at first. On the way back, I talked to different people and I knew a lot more about the world like how the government is different and the the living style in Europe and Asia. The most interesting part was when we started talking about food; it was really noisy. So we ended our trip with a short visit at the shops and we found quite a lot of funny toys there.
It was a really pleasant trip and I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world. I think it is really lucky that we can meet in this place. I am going to join all the activities we are having later and I am sure it will be so fun. So I hope I will see you next time when we gather again! :)
