My Zion Experience

Hey! This is Eva Chau from Hong Kong and I am so glad I get to be the first to post about the outing!

As you can see from the pictures that were posted earlier, it was a pretty nice day. We had a really big group that included students from Austria, Switzerland, China, Japan, Ireland, France, Korea, and also America! Isn't that AWESOME? It was a huge group for hiking but we really enjoyed it.

I still remember how I was stunned as I looked down from the rock at Zion. It was such an amazing place and it looked more like a landscape painting to me than an actual scene (cause we have nothing like this in Hong Kong!). Some students told me it is a really memorable experience seeing such a great scene with people from all over the world. Yes, I think you don't have many chances in your life to be with a bunch of foreigners from about 8 different countries.

We stayed on the rock for about half an hour and took a lot of pictures. There were a few little squirrels running around while we were taking pictures. It was funny that everyone thought they were lizards at first. On the way back, I talked to different people and I knew a lot more about the world like how the government is different and the the living style in Europe and Asia. The most interesting part was when we started talking about food; it was really noisy. So we ended our trip with a short visit at the shops and we found quite a lot of funny toys there.

It was a really pleasant trip and I enjoyed meeting people from all over the world. I think it is really lucky that we can meet in this place. I am going to join all the activities we are having later and I am sure it will be so fun. So I hope I will see you next time when we gather again! :)

First ever post

Bonjour/你好/hallo/こんにちは/여보세요/здравствулте/hola everyone, I am very new to the whole blogging thing, but I'm slowly learning the ropes and at the same time attempting to give this blog a homely feel. Alright lets get down to the nity grity... the whole purpose of this blog is to try and get all the international students up to date about any activities (past or present or future) or its simply a place where you can express yourself. So please email us with ANYTHING you might want to share with the rest of us (Fellow International Students)... seriously anything. We will be happy to post it on the blog. It can range anything from , for example- if you you saved 10 people from a burning house (Please do tell us if this actually did occur and be sure to take a lot of pictures) or if you SIMPLY would like to share a picture with us. Also, be sure to tell your parents and friends back home about this blog. Lastly, we are currently trying to open an international student club for the first time which will give us funding= more activities. This is the first place where upcoming international student activities will be posted, so try and check as frequently as you can.
